Work experience:
Petter Bae Brandtzæg has been researching Internet usage for more than ten years, in particular with a focus on social media. He is currently a research scientist at SINTEF ICT in Oslo, Norway. He has worked on various projects, academically funded as well as for the EC (e.g.CITIZEN MEDIA, EuKidsOnline, i2i) and for a range of companies, including several international collaborations. He is part of various research networks such as NEM, the Online Community Research Network and Democracy and European Culture (MEDEC). From 2010 to 2011 he was a visiting scholar at New York University.

•User centered design (UCD)
•Innovation, social capital and privacy in social media
•User behavior and user types in new media
